We got to know Ann in 1971 when she and John moved to Bristol at the same time as we also moved to Bristol. Over the years we enjoyed many get-togethers, both socially and on some lovely country walks, which we all enjoyed. As someone else has mentioned in a comment, we also remember the snacks Ann always had with her on our walks to feed to John at suitable intervals! She certainly was a caring lady. I also remember how she helped me with gardening tips, and in fact gave me my first rhubarb plant, and I continued to grow rhubarb as a result! We will miss her.
